Life
Why is life so unpredictable?
Some may even ask, Why is God doing all this?
I just learned about the news that my fellow bandmate back in secondary school has just passed away yesterday morning. I heard she had bone marrow disorder, and she fell really ill since last october. Barely even three months, this young girl succumbed to this genetic disorder and left her loved ones behind.
It is really sad to hear news like this. Girls of my age are passing away, which is definitely not something that you are expecting to hear, especially at this moment. She is still young, and a bright future is still waiting for her ahead. At the age of 21, she was just about to feel the real world outside, but she left even before she could properly define what life really is.
There are so many people out there who do not know the importance of life. Take those who have committed suicide for example, these people have no respect for their own lives. To me, i deemed them as failures because they have let down the people around them, and that they have failed to realise that life is precious. On the contrary, people like my friend, who was fighting for every chance of survival, had to succumb to fate. Life is just so unfair. And if only people could trade life..
Her story taught me to cherish my life even more than before. Now, I want to live life to the fullest, work towards my goals, fulfill every single dream, love my family even more, treasure everyone who is still around, forgive those who may have turned against me, learn from my mistakes in life, and seek forgiveness from those whom i may have betrayed. I just want to live life without regrets.
On a slightly happier note, I realised that friends of my age are marrying off. At only 21, are they really certain that they can start a new family? I know of two friends who are already married. One of them became an unwed mother, and marriage is probably the only solution. I just feel that getting married at this age is probably way too early. I feel that marriage should only comes when one is financially secured, when one has developed a strong sense of responsibility, when one is ready to commit to something that may last a lifetime, when one is mentally prepared to start a brand new chapter in life with his/her partner.
So, why not start telling your dear ones that you love them? Why not tell someone that you have forgiven them for their mistakes? Why not spend more time with your family from today? Why not start expressing your feelings to that special one in your life?
Why not do all these before everything is too late...
