My Sunday, 22nd April.
Went lotstock for a drink after work yesterday.
I guess it was the first time i think one of my favourite cocktails, pina colada, tasted so horribly disgusting. First it wasn't creamy, and second i think it was too strong for me.
Yea, I'm not a good drinker. And i admit that i can't drink for nuts. I guess one small glass of alcohol could easily knock me out. Well, anyway was dozing off in the cab on my way home. But luckily, i still managed to get home safely. Ha. My colleague called 5 times and i didn't even answered once..cos why? i dozed off, and my phone was on silent. I bet i must have gave him a good scare. lol.
Woke up in the morning with a rather heavy head.
The sunny sunday appears so dull and gloomy this late afternoon. At about 4pm, i decided to go supermarket-ing alone. Wanted to stock up my house with some juices, ice-cream and snacks.
On my way to the bus stop, i heard the familiar bell that went ''Ling-ling-ling-ling..." and there it is..the ice-cream man! Hurrily, i walked over and bought my fav raspberry ripple ice-cream sandwiched between two slices of crispy waffles. Yummy! Slurpp! I always think eating ice-cream is the best remedy to brighten someone who's feeling so low and down, and i guess it came in just in time.
Then i sat at the bus-stop, biting into the cold delicious block of ice-cream while i waited for the bus to come. Two buses came but i didn't board them cos i was still enjoying my ice-cream. Anyway, i had ample time to spare. More than enough time to kill even. By the time i gobbled up the last mouthful, the bus just left not too long ago. Then i stared up into the sky, and realised how beautiful the sun was today. Best time to go to the beach.
The very moment, i realised i was walking over to the opposite bus-stop. Instead of going to the supermarket, i was heading to the beach! So there i was, at pasir ris park (beach). Alighted the bus at the stop nearest to fisherman village, and i realised that pasir ris park is not the ghostly beach that i thought it was all along. Today, the park was actually quite crowded. As i walked on the footpath, i could actually feel the different kinds of love and warmth around me. I saw people walking their dogs, couples handing hands strolling along the beach, families gathering together in front of their tents, parents and their child cycling, couples roller-blading, malay families BBQ-ing, men fishing, people swimming in the sea, kids playing badminton, and a whole lot of them at the playground. There were laughters, and the sight and smell of bbq food everywhere. And Pasir Ris Park was filled with love in the air.
Feeling quite out of the place, i continued to walk. Situated at one of the far ends of the beach, i finally found my spot, the place where loner belongs. Sitting on the 'break-waters', i busked myself in the evening sun, and relaxed while i enjoy the scenery in front of me. There were a few kelongs, and sometimes i noticed a boat would passed by, or a plane would fly passed. I spent about 45mins there alone, and finally it was time to go supermaket-ing so that i could reach home in time for Miss Singapore Universe.
