Work is so enjoyable today. Ha. i worked with some fun people and time just passed so quickly. Laughed alot, joked alot, talked alot and eat alot too. I think my colleague, damien, is quite funny n entertaining, though sometimes he joked dirtily. Lol. But i know he was just kidding..

Mm. intially, business was very slow and very quiet. Not many guests, so no tips i thought. But then, there were alot of good food from the steakhouse next door! Food are good consolations when there are no tips. Anyway, there were meatballs, delicious bacon rolls, and crispy prawns wrapped in wanton skin and drizzled with wasabi mayo dressing. Yummy! Ha. Damien and i just squat there and enjoy our feasts, and keep a lookout for each other as well.

yay! I made my first singapore sling from scratch today too! Thanks to damien. He guided me thru the whole process of making that drink, and bartending is really fun. i hope i get to make more drinks! ha. Damien said he will let me into the bar if its not so busy tmr. =) Hee.

Mm. I feel quite sad today. felt so ashamed of myself for not being able to speak my own dialect. At longbar, there is this ah ma who works as a cleaner. she is kind, nice and dotes on me. She will always give me a handful of sweets whenever she sees me in the morning. She's quite old, abt 80 yrs old i think? And she only knows teochew and malay. So she'll always speak teochew to me. Btw, my dialect is also teochew k. Sigh. I can understand what she's saying, but i just can't reply her in teochew. The feeling sux. i really want to talk to her, but due to language barrier, i can't get my words across! So sad n helpless. I attempted to reply her in simple teochew, but i realised i was speaking hokkien actually =( i really lost touch with teochew. I can't speak teochew anymore, not even the most basic n simple ones. How sad..
