Spring Cleaning - part 1
I did the annual Spring Cleaning today. Though it was only half done, but my room has appeared much neater and cleaner than before. I din realise how messy my room was until the cleaning up was done. well, i guess i can only blame my bad genes for turning me into a lazy bum. To my disgust, my room has been housing thick layers of dust and a big trash bag full of rubbish and unwanted items.
OMG. It was only after digging into my drawers and cabinet did i realise that i have been a garung guni all these while. I found..
1. letters that my friends and i have been writing to each other back in primary and secondary schools.
2. gifts from my friends such as the stretchable bracelet made from wood, which i don't think i've ever worn before or ever wear it anymore. But still, i dusted it and kept it safely in my drawer.
3. movie tickets that were dated many years back.
4. tonnes of photos that were taken as early as i was in primary school.
5. many memorable stuff.. like the map that i've once used to hold in my hands when i was in bangkok a couple of years ago. And a flight boarding pass that happened to have my birthday printed on it. Letters that were written by someone who was once so dear to me, the purple-tail elephant handphone chain from carrefour.. and also pretty crystal bracelets from kah boon!
6. pretty notebooks which i have been keeping for years. Ha. i realised that i love keeping notebooks of all sizes esp those big and pretty ones. I'll fall in love with them and refused to use them no matter how desperate i need to scribble something down. Ha. Seriously! Its just my craze over pretty things.
7. the three teeth that were pulled out from my mouth before my braces were fixed. Ha. Its just amazing that i actually kept my teeth.
I guess i'm just the sentimental sort who loves keeping memorable stuff for remembrance. Recently, i knocked down the handmade photoframe by my bedside and the crown at the top of the frame broke! OMG. I could feel the immediate pain in my heart. Ouch! Fortunately, it din break off completely but there was a visible crack now. *Heartpain* I cherish every single thing that is handmade or given by my friends. I really appreciate the effort and time that they have put in in making these handicrafts. I feel so touched upon receiving them, and i feel the pain when my carelessness sets in and damages them. Oh. And i experienced the heartache once again this afternoon! After i've found the three crystal bracelets from kah boon, i tried on one of them and suddenly, the string snapped and the beads were scattered all over the floor! Ouchhh! I quickly picked up every single beads and put them safely in a box. Sigh. this time round i wasn't careless, but it snapped bcos the string has hardened after not wearing it for so many years.
Alrite. Gotta sleep and continue with spring cleaning part 2 tmr. *yawn*
