What a surprise!
AM BACK again.
Mmm. so wad did i do today? went school super early this morning. Had lec at 8am. *yawn* i should be in bed at that time man. Anyway, my friends were surprised that i came for the morning lec today. Ha. "Eh! how come u are here?" was their first reaction for my presence. Cos usually i don't turn up for 8am class! cos why? It too darn bloody early! As i've said i should be in lala land. But decided to go this morning cos i need to go for my dental appointment at holland village. So might as well be 'hardworking' and attend the lec rite?
Anyway had lab also. I think i enjoy life sci lab practical to chemistry's! yea im serious. And i think i enjoy the life sci modules to some of the chemistry modules too. I realised chemistry modules have alot of equations which sometimes appear so foreign to me. Life sci modules on the other hand is like telling us a story about our own body, the reactions that are going on in our body every single moment. how amazing it is rite!
But anyway im in chemistry, too late for me to u-turn and choose another sci discipline. Anyway, i doubt i can even enter life sci too la. lol. So i guess its time to think positive and motivate myself that chemistry is FUN! yea rite.
Oh! i have a good news to break! lol. not exactly good news but a rather surprising one for me. Recently i went for an interview to be a senior for the sci orientation program called SCAMP. At first i tot might as well give it a try, maybe its gonna be fun to facilitate the orientation for the new freshies this year. Can meet more new people, can earn cca points, can keep myself occupied during the school holidays.. and so on. Yep. thats what motivated me to go for the interview.
yea. by the way, i missed my first interview cos i came down with a fever due to a flu viral attack. Was really sick to attend the interview. So i actually got my sci club friend to help me to inform them abt the cancellation of my interview.
Hmm, actually im fine with joining or not joining the scamp program. im feeling abit half-hearted to be honest la. lol. Sometimes that spur of enthusiasium in me can just disappear suddenly, and sometimes i can feel myself getting very excited over it. yea. Crazy rite? ha.
Yea then i was informed again that there was a 2nd interview for those who din make it for the first. Ha. By then i din feel like joining already but in the end i still went despite going with a half-hearted attitude. This time i just wanted to try for fun since it doesnt bother me if i got selected or not. My interview was really short. less than 5mins i think. But it wasnt as bad as i tot it would turn out to be. The 2 interviewers did most of the talking and all i did was laugh along and answer some of the weird puzzling questions that they asked. "do you know how to play any chinese musical instrument?" Ha. dun u agree its a weird question? Why do they need pple who know how to play chi instruments? That was wad i find puzzling abt.
After my interview, met my sci club friend and then she told me that there were 300+ applicants for the SCAMP program and that they are only taking in less than half. OMG. it was then i realised that my chances of getting the position were very slim. Had no confidence in my interview out of the sudden.
Then yest they sent the confirmation email, and guess wad? I was selected! ha. was really very surprised cos i wasn't expecting that. Yea. I was prepared for the worst answer from them but it turned out to be a pleasant news.
Yep. So my june holidays will be spent on 2 camps which would take a total of abt 8 overnights stay in sch? yea. and i'll be spending the rest of the holidays to earn money! =)
Alrite. gotta read up on tmr's chemistry practical.
